PAT Testing
All our engineers are trained to City & Guilds 2377 and all our work is carried out in accordance with the IEE (IET) Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and testing of Electrical Equipment, 3rd Edition, The PAT testing Industry Standard.
We have years of experience in working for and with Facilities Companies as well as large multi sited clients and many single shop and industrial units.
Our engineers will take the time to explain any faults or issues on site found on site at the time of testing and upon completion you will receive a full report, suitable for any auditor, on all items tested which an explanation of all faults found.
What is a Portable Appliance?
A portable appliance is an item of electrical equipment that is connected to the power supply via a plug and socket.
Why do I need to have it tested?
There are a number of reasons why you should have your appliances tested regularly, most important are:
- To minimise the risk of fire and injury caused by faulty electrical equipment
- To satisfy you Insurance Broker
- To comply with The Provision and Use of Work Equipment (PUWER)
- To comply with The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
- To comply with The Electricity at work at Regulations 1989
